We know how hard it can be to keep track of time. Everyone has a hectic schedule. I don't know what day of the week that it is most of the time.
Worry no more!
I have added a countdown clock on the top right of the blog. It's a nice easy way to find out just when those Geekboy and Nuurdygirl MisAdventures are going to begin.

The Preparations Continue
Well......it almost feels like being prepared.
There is a map. The map includes directions as well as marks for hotel stops. Hotel reservations are even made. However......still waiting to figure out the scavenger hunt items and get the "entertainment plan" together.
There have been some great suggestions thus far:
1. Note and take pictures of towns with colors in the name (Redmond, Brownsville, etc) - courtesy of Jawbreaker
2. Note and take pictures at town signs where the first letter of the towns could be made into other words - also courtesy of Jawbreaker
3. See if we can find and try the Starbucks in each stop - courtesy of Bug
4. Copy all possible episodes of Ashes to Ashes to the Zune for watching along the way - courtesy of Nuurdygirl with the assistance of Geekboy
5. Get a short video of us doing the Brotime dance in each state - courtesy of Geekboy (you just have to see it to believe it)
But something tells me that there is going to be so much more time to fill. I can just feel the boredom from Nebraska setting in already.
There is an odd combination of excitement and worry going along with this trip. By far.....there is more excitement than anything else; however, I can't help but worry that we are trying to do too much in the time we have. Are my directions correct? Will the car be ok? Will we drive each other crazy by the time we get home?
Ok....fingers crossed.......no biting heads off by the time we reach Chicago. :-)

The MisAdventures Begin!
Today marks the day that the MisAdventures begin.....or at least seem official enough to be planned. Planned to begin.
The creation of this blog marks the official release of MisAdventures of Geekboy and Nuurdygirl by distributing the information to the masses. And by masses I mean 6 family members.
At this point.....a blog is created, a map is started but not yet finished, and there are 2 hotel reservations made, for the inaugural Geekboy and Nuurdygirl roadtrip. We are full of grand plans to update along the road, Twitter along the way, geotag photos, and complete some sort of scavenger hunt along this trip. If any of those 6 family members are reading this.....they are all laughing because they KNOW that we two as slackers will be lucky enough to make it to the car and keep gas in it!
